About 15 minutes north of the Fort McHenry Tunnel, in Middle River, you'll find Bengies Drive-In Theater, the self-described "BIGGEST movie theatre screen on the entire East Coast." We love this place. On Friday and Saturday nights in the summer they run triple features. They generally run a cartoon or family movie first, so we let the kids watch and then put them in the front seat of the van to sleep (we park facing away from the screen and open up the back of the van to sit in). Then Rick and I get a movie or two that we get to watch "by ourselves." Admission usually ran $8.00 for adults, but kids are free. They have a snack bar with quite an extensive and decently-priced menu, or you can pay $7.00 for a permit to bring in your own food and drinks.
There's a playground where the kids can run around before the first movie starts.
I recommend a ton of bug repellent in the summertime or you'll get eaten alive by mosquitoes.
