Writing Weekend 2008
Writing Weekend is always fun. This year we got a cabin in the Shenandoah Valley. The relaxation and camaraderie were good for my psyche, and I also wrote 17,000 words for NaNoWriMo over the course of the weekend!

Out on the deck with my laptop, feet in fuzzy socks propped up on
the rail, and the mountains in front of me.
Rain and clouds moving across the mountains.

Tracie and Rochelle having lunch at 3 pm or so.
Me, writing late into the night...
It was cloudy most of the weekend so I took
advantage of some sun to get outside.
Rochelle, Tracie, Heather and Becky. The wind was certainly
"bracing," but that made the hot tub feel even better.

Rochelle, Tracie and me reluctant to get out!
Group shot at the end of a great weekend.
Here we are posed with a rusty old saw that the cabin owners thought
would make for nice decor. We'll pick a new place next year.
